Ans. Yes. PG in Micro Biology or Molecular Biology or Agricultural Botany or Genetics will be treated at
par with M Sc Botany/Zoology provided it is preceded by graduation in Botany/Zoology. |

Q4. I’m M Sc Biotechnology. But I have no B Ed. Can I apply ? |
Ans. No. B Ed is mandatory. |

Q5. What is the qualification for PGT(Physical Education)? Is B Ed mandatory? |
Ans. Masters degree in physical Education from a recognized university. B Ed is not required. |

Q6. I’m pursuing studies for B Ed and will qualify before the next academic session. Can I apply? |
Ans. No. You have to be qualified on the date of application. |

Q7. Can Class X certificate/mark sheet be provided as proof of age? |
Ans. Yes. |

Q8. I have done Hindi Pandit Training from State dept. Am I eligible for the post of TGT ? |
Ans. No. The qualification is graduation from a recognized university. |

Q9. Education qualification for PRT is Graduation + B Ed. But in Delhi Govt schools qualification for PRT is 12+ JBT/ETT/DED.
Please change qualification accordingly. |
Ans. Army Public Schools, being Private Unaided schools, can lay down higher qualification as per CBSE Affiliation Bye-Laws.
Accordingly qualifications for PRTs have been laid down as Graduation and B Ed.
There will be no dilution of qualifications. |

Q10. Can physically challenged persons apply? |
Ans. There is no restriction. |

Q11. Any relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates ? |
Ans. Army Public Schools, being Private Unaided schools , we give no relaxation to any category. |

Q12. Are PGT/TGT/PRT posts permanent or temporary ? |
Ans. PGT posts are regular with one year probation extendable by another year. TGTs/PRTS are appointed
on ‘Contractual’ basis, for three years which is extendable, provided the candidate is CTET/TET qualified and
found suitable for retention. Only 50% TGTs and 30% PRTs are made regular based on seniority. Those not qualified
on CTET/TET will be appointed on adhoc basis till qualification is attained. |

Q13. I have not passed CTET. Can I appear for CSB Exam ? |
Ans. Yes. You can appear for CSB exam. However based on CBSE norms CTET/TET(of any state govt) has been made
mandatory for Regular/ Contractual TGTs and PRTs. Others found fit in all other respects may be appointed on ‘Adhoc’
basis till attainment of qualification. |

Q14. What is the salary structure? |
Ans. The basic salary is as per 6th CPC rates. Allowances and perks will be decided by the management locally
based on merit of the employee and financial health of the school. |

Q15. Is experience in Govt schools mandatory or private school service will also be counted. |
Ans. Service in Private school will be recognized, provided the school is affiliated to CBSE. |

Q16. I’m qualified for all the three posts – PGT, TGT & PRT. Can I apply for all three. |
Ans. The tests will be held concurrently. So you can’t appear in all three. If you qualify for a PGT Score Card,
you can also take up appointment of TGT/PRT based on availability of vacancies. |

Q17. B.El.Ed has been notified in Gazette of India as being on equal footing with B Ed. Please
change your recruitment rules accordingly. |
Ans. Army Public Schools, being Private Unaided schools , have been permitted to lay down our own criteria for
selection of teachers. It has been decided that the minimum qualification for both PRT & TGT will be B Ed. No
change to that is being contemplated. |

Q 18. Does passing the Screening Test guarantee a job in Army Public School? |
Ans. No. Screening Test is only step 1 of the selection process. Candidates who qualify are given Score
Cards which are valid for life provided the candidate picks up teaching job in any CBSE affiliated school
within 3 years from the date of issue of the card. Holder of a valid Score Card is eligible to appear in the
interview and evaluation of teaching skills for selection of teachers. |

Q 19. If I pass the Screening Exam, will I be automatically called for interview ? |
Ans. No. Schools will advertise for the interview and evaluation of teaching skills, in local dailies and school
web sites based on existing vacancies in the school. A Score Card holder may apply to the school of his/her
choice based on the advertisement. |

Q 20. What is the syllabus for the exam ? |
Ans. There is no set syllabus. Your knowledge level should be in keeping with the post you are applying for.
To help you prepare for the exam, guidelines for candidates will be made available on the Registration portal
after final date of registration, which the candidates who register fully may access. Old question papers will
also be available to registered candidates. |
